Description

Bay Street Players is pleased to announce Play Your Part, its annual fundraising gala to benefit the historic State Theatre on Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Ferran Park, Eustis, FL.

Play Your Part will begin with a sunset cocktail reception in Ferran Park—across the street from The State Theatre—overlooking Lake Eustis at 5:30pm, followed by a seated dinner and performance at the historic Alice McClelland Memorial Bandshell at 6:30pm.

This year’s show, BAY STREET BACKWARDS, features a dynamic medley from the best of Bay Street Players performing songs from roles in which they would never traditionally be cast! Performers include: Xavier Crawford, Hector De Leon, Melody Duckins, Roy Hamlin, Brian Holtin, Kevin Jenness, Sean Jenness, Stephen Merritt, Andre Provencher, Ashley Richards, Miranda Robinson, Libby Sellers, Debbie Sussman, Haley Sweat, Herbert Welch, and Tom Young.

Individual tickets for Play Your Part are $100 and are all-inclusive. Tables seating 4-6 guests range from $600-$900. Businesses and individuals that purchase tables for this event will be considered sponsors of the State Theatre at the Director’s Circle level and will receive additional recognition through our 2022-2023 season.

100% of proceeds from Play Your Part benefit the historic State Theatre, which is celebrating its 100th year as a venue for live performance in Central Florida. Of its many efforts to enrich its community, the Bay Street Players operates the Young People’s Theatre program—among the longest running youth theatre education initiatives in the nation, now in its 45th consecutive year. A portion of proceeds from this event will directly benefit the Ed Dawkins Memorial Scholarship Fund at The State Theatre, which provides tuition support for students who would otherwise be unable to enroll in Young People’s Theatre.
